Client wanted help designing a toy that allows children to play the traditional pool game “Marco Polo” by themselves or with others.

Worked with client to identify key attributes of play and desired outcomes. Identified key mechanical and design challenges such as buoyancy control and water tight sealing.

Managed two designers to develop design concepts and basic mechanical designs. created numerous sketches, 3D CAD and renderings that allowed 5 Mississippi create a case to license their product to Swim Ways. Toy was one of Parenting Magazine’s Top 7 Toys of 2008 and was featured on The Today Show.
